Location
The Hotel La Perla, immersed in the large park that embraces the whole structure, you can enjoy a peaceful and relaxing stay not far from Lake Maggiore. The family welcome of the staff, always attentive to every need, will be a good reason to return a guest in Varallo Pombia. Located north of Novara, along the route to Lake Maggiore, it is included in the territory conventionally designated "Civilization of Golasecca". The name Varallo appears for the first time in a document of the year 885 and, its events were, in Roman and medieval times, always connected to Pombia, Roman town hall and then committee seat in the Carolingian era, the Marca d'Ivrea. In 1025 the committee of Pombia was granted by Conrad II to the Bishop of Novara. Subsequently the territories of Varallo and Pombia passed to the Visconti, then to the Nibbia, the Caccia, the Ferreri, the Sormani and finally to the Simonetta. The numerous finds, referring to the civilization of Golasecca and the Roman era, were catalogued and collected in some showcases exposed in the halls of the town hall.
